We are OrCam
Our mission is to harness the power of artificial vision by incorporating pioneering technology into a platform which improves lives. OrCam was jointly founded in 2010 by Prof. Amnon Shashua and Mr. Ziv Aviram, who are also the co-founders of Mobileye, the collision avoidance system leader and autonomous driving innovator. The original OrCam MyEye was launched in 2015, and OrCam MyEye Pro was launched in 2020. OrCam’s first handheld device, the OrCam Read, was launched in 2020.
Prof. Amnon Shashua
Co-Founder & Co-ChairmanProf. Amnon Shashua is a leading expert in computer vision and machine learning. He holds the Sachs Chair in Computer Science at the Hebrew University and is a 2020 Dan David Prize laureate in the field of Artificial Intelligence. In 2010, Prof. Shashua co-founded OrCam Technologies, a pioneer in developing personal, AI-driven platforms to provide increased independence to people who are visually- or hearing-impaired, and those challenged by reading. He previously co-founded Mobileye (now an Intel company) – the global collision avoidance system leader and autonomous driving innovator, where Prof. Shashua serves as CEO and a Senior Vice President at Intel Corporation. His additional initiatives include AI21 Labs, which helps AI systems process language as a human mind would, and a Digital Bank, which is the first new bank in Israel in 40 years.

Mr. Ziv Aviram
Co-Founder & Co-ChairmanBefore co-founding OrCam, Mr. Aviram co-founded Mobileye, with Amnon Shashua, an Israeli technology company that develops vision-based advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) providing warnings for collision prevention and mitigation. Today 90% of the world’s leading automobile manufacturers rely on Mobileye technology to make their vehicles safer to drive. In addition, Mobileye’s revolutionary autonomous driving technology is going to completely change the way people will drive cars in the future. In August 2014, Mobileye claimed the title for largest Israeli IPO ever, and in August 2017, Intel acquired Mobileye for a valuation of approximately $15.3B, the biggest ever acquisition of an Israeli Hi-Tech company. Prior to Mobileye, Mr. Ziv Aviram was the CEO of three leading Israeli companies in their fields. Mr. Aviram holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Ben-Gurion University.
